Los Angeles Community Hospitals Welcome New Chief Nursing Officer

Tony Desai, RN, has accepted the position of chief nursing officer (CNO) for Los Angeles Community Hospitals at Norwalk, Los Angeles, and Bellflower.

“With more than 20 years of nursing experience in various clinical settings, including perioperative services, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation and behavioral, Tony is not an unfamiliar face as he has supported our hospitals during various times,” said Los Angeles Community Hospitals CEO Hector Hernandez.

Desai joined Prospect Medical Holdings six years ago and has held assistant CNO positions at Southern California Hospital at Culver City and Van Nuys, as was also interim CNO at the Culver City hospital. In his previous role as director of clinical operations and performance improvement for the California hospitals, he made significant contributions in nursing retention, registry, and overall employee engagement.
